Provider Portal and HIE
The primary
service that LIPIX offers is a Provider Portal which enables
clinicians to securely, easily, and comprehensively view relevant
clinical information on their patients. It not only allows
clinicians access to information from their own organization, but
also enables clinicians, with their patients’ permission, access to
clinical information from an extended network of “unrelated” care
providing organizations.
In certain emergent clinical situations, this
additional information could mean the difference between life and
death. More commonly, use of a clinical data
exchange like the one provided by LIPIX has demonstrated a wide
range of benefits to a large number of people.
