Before founding LIPIX, Benjamin Stein, MD was the Director of Clinical Information Systems at North Shore-LIJ Health System. In addition to training in computer science and completing a fellowship in medical informatics, Dr. Stein is a board certified and actively practicing Emergency Physician. Previously, Dr. Stein was the Director of Medical Informatics at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and lead the implementation of a successful CIS and CPOE implementation there, focusing heavily on the implementation of clinical decision support to improve health care quality and efficiency.
Tara Feuerstein - Administrative Support Associate
Prior to joining LIPIX, Tara assisted a major real estate developer on Long Island, where she was born and raised. Tara graduated from The State University of New York College at Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies & Public Relations.
Mark E. Greaker - Chief Technology Officer
Mark Greaker has over 23 years of IT experience, most of it in Healthcare. He first spent 6 years in the US Air Force as a Combat Communications Technician. After his time in the military, He then worked for MedE America (a NY Medicare/caid eligibility vendor) 5 years as the Technology Manager working with over 130 hospitals,and Payers. Soon after He then spent 10 years as the IT Director for St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers of New York with the last 5 of those years under the CSC outsourcing agreement. He then spent 18 months as the National Service Delivery Director for DuPont North America. He just finished working the last 18 months with a very large national Catholic Health System as the Regional Service Delivery Executive for CSC, managing 28 major hospitals across the Eastern US. He has a wife and 3 sons who are all relocating from Oxford, PA to central Long Island. Mark will be accountable for all technology, operations and strategic planning for LIPIX. He holds a formidable list of technical training diplomas, as well being certified in ITIL and Six Sigma processes.
James Heiman - Project Manager
Jim is a Long Island native returning to the island after 6 years of education. Jim received his undergraduate degree from Siena College with a B.S. degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Jim advanced his studies with a M.S. Degree in Health Policy and Management from the Albany School of Public Health. Recently, Jim completed an internship in the NYS Department of Health, Division of Health Facility Planning, where he received great expose to the State's Certificate of Need (CON) process, the competitive state procurement application and review process (HEAL NY RGA), and the NYS Berger Commission on Health Care Facilities in the 21st Century. Jim has also been involved in analyzing and comparing SPARCS data with MEDPAR data, specifically in regards to AHRQ's Patient Safety Indicators.
Raman Vig - Applications Manager
Prior to joining LIPIX, Raman worked for Epic Systems Corp. in a project management role assisting the University of Chicago Hospitals with the design and build of their inpatient software implementation. Before that, Raman earned his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Journalism from Stony Brook University in Long Island, graduating as a member of Golden Key International Honor Society. Raman was born and raised in New York City, and he is an avid basketball fan who hopes the NY Knickerbockers will one day win an NBA championship.
Andrew Evans - Lead Clinical Analyst Andrew Evans is a healthcare systems integration expert with a Health Level 7 (HL7) Control Specialist certification. Prior to joining the LIPIX team, Mr. Evans’ most recent projects were integrating systems for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Stanford University Medical Center. He has worked with multi-disciplinary teams to implement clinical, financial and demographic healthcare information from hospitals and healthcare organizations in complex environments for over for 17 years, including international and military engagements. He possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Marietta College.
