The Clinical Analyst works closely with LIPIX’ project and clinical leadership to ensure the effectiveness of project activities. Works with project management to ensure that the output of analysis activities feeds the design and configuration of the system, and that future state development is aligned with stated goals and objectives. Manages the day-to-day activities of clinical work groups. Works as a member of the team providing application support for LIPIX.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participates in the LIPIX clinical information system project with tasks to include project management assistance, system and process analysis, system testing, report writing and user training.
- Works with end users to design and implement configuration changes to improve business workflow and/or work with vendors to deliver system changes.
- Focuses on customer service and understanding the clinical processes in a hospital setting.
- Prepares documentation in support of project, testing, issue resolution and workflows.
- Facilitates communication of up-to-date work progress across key stakeholders to enable timely attainment of project milestones and setting of realistic expectations.
- Specific system implementation responsibilities may include:
- Analyzing organizational/departmental workflow
- Defining departmental/clinical end-user requirements
- Collecting data for configuration and display
- Facilitating screen design
- Determining the configurable components of the results/ orders module
- Coding configuration tables
- Analyzing report requirements
- Documenting all activities and specifications
- Conducting unit testing, assisting in integrated testing
- Troubleshooting interface transactions
- Supporting activation
- Supporting ongoing production issues
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize
- Experience with HL7, CCD, and Interface Explore a plus
- Minimum of two years clinical experience is preferred
- Project implementation experience required, having a strong understanding of web-based applications
- Ability to interact and work with physicians, nurses and all levels of management and staff
- Ability to organize/facilitate multi-disciplinary teams to recommend solutions or to resolve service issues - Strong vendor management skills
- Strong analytical, process flow, interviewing and problem solving skills
- Understanding of technology concepts (application and infrastructure architecture)
- Versatility and flexibility; strong communication and customer relationship skills; organization, project management, and conflict resolution skills are essential. Must have the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
- Experience with InterSystems products a plus (Cache, Ensemble, or HealthShare)
- Experience with master patient index applications (Initiate, Inc. products or others) a plus
- Knowledge of hospital registration departments and processes a plus
- Knowledge of SQL
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel

The Data Warehouse Developer designs, develops and implements data warehouse system requirements in support of public health reporting, quality reporting and clinical research initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:

Designs, develops and implements the LIPIX data warehouse system
and structures.

Develops data warehouse process models, including sourcing,
extraction, transformation and loading.
-
Creates plans, test files and scripts for data warehouse
testing.
-
Produces supporting documentation, such as metadata and diagrams
of entity relationships, business processes and process flow.
-
Develops and implements data extraction procedures from other
systems and integrates into current design/ system.
-
Develops and maintains standards, including organization,
structure and nomenclature, for the design of data warehouse elements (data
architectures, models, tools and databases).
-
Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware or
other technologies.
-
Maps data between source systems, data warehouse and data marts.
-
Performs system analysis, data analysis or programming.
-
Selects methods, techniques or criteria for data warehousing
evaluation procedures. Verifies structure, accuracy or quality
of warehouse data.
-
Writes new programs or modifies existing to meet project
requirements.
-
Investigates and tests new applications, software or products,
as necessary.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or
related field.

Minimum of three (3) years experience in the design, development
and implementation of databases/ data warehouses.

Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools and
principles.

Analytical, process flow, problem solving, communication,
customer service, organization and project management skills.

Knowledge of SQL.

The Field Agent works closely with LIPIX Meaningful Use Project Manager to ensure the effectiveness of project activities. This individual spends approximately 3-4 days per week on Long Island working with member hospitals to engage clinicians within the broader community and help ambulatory practices achieve the Meaningful Use of electronic health records.
Responsibilities:

Participates in the planning and coordination of the Meaningful Use of electronic health
records project including gathering requirements and planning for project design, implementation,
and support.

Works with end users to design & implement configuration changes to meet Meaningful Use
of electronic medical records.

Focuses on customer service and understanding the role of Meaningful Use in hospital
and ambulatory settings.
-
Develops expertise in electronic medical records, especially as it relates to Meaningful Use.
- Facilitate efficient workflow redesign and change in ambulatory settings
-
Participates in maintaining project plans and all associated written documentation tied to the project.

Facilitates communication of up-to-date work progress across key stakeholders to enable timely
attainment of project milestones and setting of realistic expectations.

Qualifications:

or Engineering or other analytical field, preferred.

The Project Manager manages the implementation of the LIPIX project for
the LIPIX consortium of Multiple CPO's (Care Providing
Organizations) using resources from various project teams, IT
departments, clinicians, and vendor implementation teams. Provides
liaison between the project director, the project team, multiple
health systems, and the vendors, and interfaces with clients at all
levels within the Health System.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration
or related field, required. Master's Degree, preferred

years project implementation management in a clinical

Provides 3-tier web application programming support for LIPIX. Participates in the full life cycle of software development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists in designing and building software
programs to support LIPIX web application.
- Supports software built by outsourced
consultants (Eclipses, etc).
- Develops .NET applications, creates and
updates databases and web pages.
- Writes SQL programs using established
databases; modifies existing software to correct errors, adapt
to new hardware or to improve system performance.
- Ensures project deadlines are met,
escalates issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and
adheres to project development methodologies.
- Provides regular feedback to management on
project status.
- Performs software system testing and
validation procedures.
- Supports end-users, resolves problems,
troubleshoots and escalates complex problems to management.
- Coordinates software system installation
and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are
met.
- Monitors system backup and data recovery.
- Coordinates and documents processes and
programs.
Qualifications:
